Synpirox Cream is an antifungal skin cream made by Synmedic Laboratories. Each gram contains Ciclopirox Olamine 1% w/w, a widely used medicine for superficial fungal infections. Doctors prescribe it for ringworm on the body, jock itch in the groin, athlete’s foot, candidal infections in skin folds and the patchy discolouration of pityriasis versicolor. The smooth cream helps relieve itch, burning and flaking within days of regular use.

How It Works

Ciclopirox Olamine penetrates the outer layer of skin and reaches the fungus where it lives. It binds iron and aluminium ions inside fungal cells, shutting down enzymes needed for respiration and for removing toxic peroxides. Starved of these functions, the fungal cells stop growing and die. Its broad spectrum covers dermatophytes, Candida species and Malassezia, and it has a mild anti-inflammatory effect on irritated skin.

How to Use

• Wash and pat dry the affected skin
• Apply a thin layer over the affected area and surrounding skin twice a day
• Continue for the prescribed duration, usually 2 to 4 weeks
• Wash hands after use
