Truzap Shampoo from Intas Pharmaceuticals is a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo containing Ciclopirox Olamine 1% w/w and Zinc Pyrithione 1% w/w. It is designed for persistent dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp, conditions linked to overgrowth of the yeast Malassezia. Regular use reduces visible flakes, greasy scales, redness and itching, leaving the scalp cleaner and more comfortable.

How It Works

The two actives work together against scalp fungus. Ciclopirox binds metal ions that the yeast needs for vital enzymes, stopping it from growing, and also has an anti-inflammatory effect on irritated skin. Zinc Pyrithione disrupts the yeast’s membrane transport and has antibacterial properties, while also slowing the rapid shedding of scalp cells that produces flakes. The combination controls both the cause and the visible symptoms of dandruff.

How to Use

• Wet hair and scalp thoroughly
• Apply enough shampoo to form a lather and massage into the scalp for 3 to 5 minutes
• Rinse well; use 2 to 3 times a week or as directed by your doctor
• Use once weekly or as advised for maintenance
