Nodard Plus Tablet
Nodard Plus Tablet is a combination pain-relief medicine manufactured and marketed by Cipla Ltd, formulated with Nimesulide BP 100mg and Paracetamol IP 325mg in each uncoated tablet. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol is a widely used pain reliever and fever reducer; together they work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that are responsible for causing pain, fever and inflammation. This combination makes Nodard Plus Tablet effective for relieving pain and swelling in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and osteoarthritis, as well as for easing muscle pain, back pain, toothache and pain in the ear or throat. Nodard Plus Tablet should be taken with or after food, as this helps reduce the chance of stomach upset that can sometimes occur with NSAID use. The dose and duration depend on the condition being treated and should always follow the doctor’s advice; the tablet should not be taken for longer than prescribed, and use of Nimesulide is generally restricted to short courses because prolonged use can increase the risk of liver-related side effects. Nodard Plus Tablet is a Schedule H prescription drug and is not intended for children below 12 years of age. Patients should avoid alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can increase drowsiness and add to the strain on the liver, and should not combine it with other medicines containing paracetamol or other NSAIDs unless specifically advised by a doctor. Anyone with a history of stomach ulcers, liver or kidney disease, or heart conditions should inform their doctor before starting treatment.
