Kriam Pharma Telmisartan 40 mg Tablet
This is Telmisartan IP 40 mg in an uncoated tablet, marketed by Kriam Pharma (SRK Puremed LLP) – a generic sold under the molecule name rather than a brand name, which is why it costs appreciably less than the branded equivalents of exactly the same drug and strength. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker: it occupies the receptors that angiotensin II must bind to in order to tighten blood vessels, so the vessels stay relaxed and pressure falls. The pack carries a storage instruction that matters more for telmisartan than for most tablets – these are moisture-sensitive, so leave each tablet in the strip until you are ready to take it. Strip of 10 tablets. Schedule H prescription medicine.
