Eribres 1mg Injection is a prescription anticancer medicine made by Halsted Pharma. Each 2 ml single dose vial contains Eribulin Mesylate at 0.5mg per ml, giving 1mg in total. It is mainly used for breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body after earlier chemotherapy has been tried. Doctors may also use it for liposarcoma that cannot be removed by surgery. Eribulin belongs to a group of medicines called microtubule inhibitors. It blocks the inner framework that cancer cells need to divide into new cells. As a result the growth and spread of the tumour can be slowed down. The medicine is given as a short injection into a vein, usually on day 1 and day 8 of a 21 day cycle. It must only be given in a hospital or clinic under the care of a cancer specialist. Blood counts and nerve related side effects are checked closely before each dose.
