O2 Tablet is a prescription combination medicine from Medley Pharmaceuticals. Each film coated tablet contains ofloxacin 200 mg and ornidazole 500 mg. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that treats bacterial infections. Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial medicine that acts on anaerobic bacteria and parasites. Together they are prescribed for mixed infections such as infectious diarrhoea and dysentery. They may also be used for some pelvic and dental infections. The dose and the length of treatment are decided by the doctor. Complete the full course even if you feel better. Avoid alcohol during treatment, and tell your doctor about tendon, kidney or nerve problems. Use only on a doctor’s prescription and keep out of the reach of children.
