Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy is a body cream from Mederma made to help prevent and improve the look of stretch marks. It combines Allium cepa onion bulb extract, centella asiatica leaf extract and sodium hyaluronate. It also contains hydrolysed collagen, soy protein, vitamin E and glycerin to nourish the skin. Stretch marks form when the skin stretches quickly, as in pregnancy, weight change or growth spurts, and the deeper layers tear. Keeping the skin well moisturised helps it stay elastic and less likely to tear. The hyaluronic acid and glycerin draw water into the skin, while the creamy base locks it in. Onion extract and centella asiatica support the look of smoother, more even skin over existing marks. The cream is paraben free and may be used from the second trimester of pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Regular daily massage gives the best results over several weeks. It comes in a 25gm tube for use on the belly, hips, thighs and breasts.
