ME 12 OD Tablet ER is a prescription vitamin combination from Systopic Laboratories used to treat nutritional deficiencies of the B vitamins, nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) and certain types of anaemia. Each film-coated extended-release tablet contains Mecobalamin (Methylcobalamin) 1500 mcg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 20 mg and Folic Acid 5 mg. The once-daily (OD) extended-release design releases vitamin B12 steadily through the day. It is commonly prescribed for people with diabetes-related nerve pain, numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, long-term use of medicines such as metformin, poor diet, pregnancy-related needs, or low B12 and folate levels. It is manufactured by The Madras Pharmaceuticals and each strip contains 15 tablets.

How It Works

Methylcobalamin is the active form of vitamin B12. It helps repair and protect the myelin sheath that insulates nerve fibres, improving nerve signalling and easing symptoms such as burning, tingling and numbness. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) supports the production of neurotransmitters and healthy nerve function. Folic acid, together with vitamin B12, is essential for making healthy red blood cells and DNA. Together these vitamins also help lower raised homocysteine levels, supporting heart and nerve health.
