Cipcal-XT Tablet is a prescription nutritional supplement from Cipla used to treat and prevent calcium and vitamin deficiencies. Each film-coated tablet contains Calcium Carbonate 1250 mg (equivalent to 500 mg elemental calcium), Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) 2000 IU, Mecobalamin (Methylcobalamin) 1500 mcg, L-Methylfolate Calcium 1 mg and Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate 20 mg. It is commonly prescribed for weak bones and osteoporosis, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, for older adults, for people with low vitamin D or B12 levels, and when diet alone cannot meet the body’s needs. By combining bone-building minerals with active forms of B vitamins, it supports bones, nerves and blood in a single daily tablet. Each strip contains 15 tablets.

How It Works

Calcium is the main mineral that gives bones and teeth their strength, and it is also needed for muscle contraction and nerve signalling. Vitamin D3 helps the body absorb calcium from the gut and deposit it in the bones. Methylcobalamin, the active form of vitamin B12, supports healthy nerves and red blood cell formation. L-Methylfolate is the ready-to-use form of folic acid, important for cell growth and healthy pregnancy. Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate, the active form of vitamin B6, supports nerve function and metabolism. Together these vitamins also help keep homocysteine levels in check.

How to Use

• Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day.
• Swallow it whole with water, preferably after a meal for better absorption.
• Keep a gap of at least 2 hours between this tablet and iron supplements, thyroid medicine or certain antibiotics.
• Continue for the full duration advised by your doctor.
