Losakind 50 mg Tablet – Losartan Potassium 50 mg by Mankind
Losakind 50 from Mankind Pharma contains Losartan Potassium IP 50 mg in a film-coated tablet. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), and it solves the same problem as an ACE inhibitor from the other end. ACE inhibitors stop angiotensin II being made; losartan lets it be made but blocks the receptor it must dock with to constrict a blood vessel. The practical difference matters to patients: because it does not interfere with the bradykinin pathway, losartan does not cause the dry cough that drives many people off ACE inhibitors. It also lowers uric acid, unusual among blood pressure drugs. Strip of 10 tablets. Schedule H prescription medicine.
