How It Works

Insulin helps glucose move from the blood into muscle and fat cells for energy and signals the liver to release less glucose. How to Use

• Inject under the skin about 30 minutes before a meal, exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

• Use only insulin syringes marked for U-40 insulin, and never inject into a vein.
• Rotate injection sites and check your blood sugar regularly; do not change your dose without medical advice.

• Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) is the most common side effect; keep glucose or sugar handy for sweating, shaking, dizziness or confusion.
