Glyco 6 Glycolic Acid Cream
Glyco 6 is a high-performance dermatological exfoliating cream containing 6% Glycolic Acid, the smallest molecule in the Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) family. Due to its low molecular weight, Glyco 6 penetrates the skin more effectively than other AHAs, working to dissolve the “intercellular glue” that holds dead, dull skin cells together. By promoting the shedding of these surface layers, Glyco 6 reveals the fresher, more radiant skin underneath. It is an ideal treatment for individuals dealing with uneven skin tone, rough texture, mild acne scarring, and superficial hyperpigmentation. Regular use helps to clarify the complexion and provides a natural, healthy glow by stimulating the skin’s innate renewal process.
Key Features
- Effectively removes dead skin cells without the abrasive friction of physical scrubs.
- Smooths out bumps, rough patches, and fine lines for a “glass-skin” finish.
- Helps fade dark spots, sun damage, and post-acne marks (PIH).
- Keeps pores clear of debris to reduce the frequency of breakouts and minimize pore appearance.
- Boosts skin radiance by increasing light reflection on a smoother skin surface.
Key Ingredients
- Glycolic Acid (6% w/w)
- Purified Water
- Glycerin
- Magnesium Aluminum Silicate
- Cetyl Alcohol
Precautions
- Glycolic Acid significantly increases your skin’s sensitivity to UV rays. Daily application of a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ is mandatory during and for one week after use.
- A mild tingling or stinging sensation is normal during the first few applications. If severe burning or redness occurs, rinse off immediately.
- Recommended for all users. Apply a small amount to the jawline for 24 hours to check for hypersensitivity.
- Do not apply to the eyelids, the corners of the nose, or on broken/irritated skin.
- Avoid using simultaneously with other strong actives like Retinoids, Vitamin C, or Benzoyl Peroxide in the same routine to prevent over-exfoliation.
- Strictly for topical application. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with cool water.
How to Use
- Start with a clean, dry face. Use a soap-free, gentle cleanser to avoid pre-irritating the skin.
- Ensure your skin is completely dry. Applying acids to damp skin can increase penetration too quickly and cause irritation.
- Apply a thin, even layer of Glyco 6 to the affected areas or the entire face, avoiding the eye and lip regions.
- Gently massage the cream until it is fully absorbed.
- Start by using the cream every other night. Once your skin builds tolerance, you may increase usage to every night.
- Follow with a basic, fragrance-free moisturizer to support the skin barrier.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the cap tightly closed.
