Glutowin Forte Tablet SR

Glutowin Forte Tablet SR is a fixed-dose combination medicine from the anti-diabetic class, used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It combines Glibenclamide, a sulfonylurea that increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, with sustained-release Metformin Hydrochloride, which lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from the intestines, and improves the bodys sensitivity to insulin. Together, these two mechanisms help keep blood sugar levels stable throughout the day.

Glutowin Forte Tablet SR should be taken with or after food, at the same time each day, in the dose and duration advised by the physician, since the right dose depends on individual blood sugar readings and may need to be adjusted over time. The tablet must be swallowed whole and should not be chewed, crushed or broken, as this would affect its sustained-release action.

It is important to keep taking this medicine regularly, even when feeling well or when blood sugar seems controlled, because stopping it without medical advice can allow blood sugar to rise again, increasing the risk of long-term complications such as kidney damage, vision loss, nerve damage and poor wound healing.
