How It Works

Fusidic acid works by stopping bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply. It is particularly effective against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus, the bacteria behind most common skin infections. By controlling the infection at the site, it reduces redness, swelling, pus and pain and allows the skin to heal. It acts locally, so very little is absorbed into the body.
