Evaparin Injection
Evaparin Injection is a high-potency anticoagulant intervention containing Enoxaparin Sodium (available in various strengths such as 40mg/0.4ml or 60mg/0.6ml), a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) specifically engineered for the clinical management of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism. Utilizing a unique “Antithrombin-Binding” mechanism, this medication works by accelerating the activity of antithrombin III, which subsequently inhibits the coagulation factors Xa and IIa (thrombin). By modulating the systemic clotting cascade, Evaparin effectively prevents the formation and propagation of fibrin clots. This targeted biochemical action provides a decisive therapeutic response by mitigating the risk of embolic events in surgical, orthopedic, and cardiac patients.
Key Features
- Specifically formulated to provide superior antithrombotic activity with minimal impact on global primary hemostasis.
- Clinically recognized for its high and predictable absorption rate following subcutaneous administration.
- Specifically engineered to maintain therapeutic plasma levels, allowing for once or twice-daily dosing schedules.
- Unlike standard heparin, Evaparin typically does not require routine laboratory monitoring of aPTT levels.
- Delivered in a calibrated syringe system to ensure accurate dosage and minimize the risk of administration errors.
Key Ingredients
- Enoxaparin Sodium
- Water for Injection
- Hydrochloric Acid / Sodium Hydroxide
- Nitrogen
Precautions
- Must be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional; do not self-inject unless properly trained by a medical provider.
- Use with extreme caution in patients with active major bleeding, bacterial endocarditis, or severe coagulation disorders.
- Dosage adjustment is mandatory for patients with severe kidney disease; regular monitoring of serum creatinine is recommended.
- There is a risk of spinal hematoma leading to paralysis when used concurrently with spinal procedures; consult your surgeon immediately.
- Inform your doctor if you are taking aspirin, NSAIDs, or other blood thinners, as these can significantly increase the risk of hemorrhage.
- Periodic complete blood counts (CBC), including platelet counts, should be performed to monitor for potential hematological changes.
How to Use
- Wash your hands thoroughly and clean the injection site (typically the abdomen) with an alcohol swab. Do not expel the air bubble from the syringe before injection.
- Pinch a fold of skin between the thumb and forefinger. Insert the needle vertically (at a 90-degree angle) into the skin fold.
- Inject the entire contents of the syringe slowly. Do not rub the injection site after withdrawing the needle to minimize bruising.
- Alternate the injection site between the left and right sides of the abdomen for each subsequent dose to prevent localized tissue irritation.
- Place the used syringe and needle in a puncture-proof sharps container immediately after use. Do not dispose of in household trash.
- Administer at the same time(s) each day to maintain a steady antithrombotic state as prescribed by your physician.
