Flucort-C Cream from Glenmark is a combination cream containing Ciclopirox Olamine 1% w/w and Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.01% w/w. It is prescribed for fungal skin infections that are accompanied by marked inflammation, such as red, swollen and intensely itchy patches of ringworm, jock itch or candidal intertrigo. The antifungal clears the infection while the mild steroid rapidly calms redness and itching.

How It Works

Ciclopirox kills fungi by chelating iron and other metal ions needed by fungal enzymes, stopping their growth and reproduction, and it acts on dermatophytes, Candida and Malassezia. Fluocinolone Acetonide is a corticosteroid that blocks the release of inflammatory chemicals in the skin, reducing swelling, redness and itch. Together they treat the cause and provide quicker symptom relief than an antifungal alone.

How to Use

• Clean and dry the affected area
• Apply a thin layer to the affected skin once or twice daily as prescribed

• Do not cover with tight or airtight dressings unless advised
