RVC SP 10 Gastro Vet from Dr. Roma’s Homeopathy is a homoeopathic veterinary preparation in globule form, indicated on the pack simply as “Indigestion”, and carrying a cow on the carton. Four remedies in equal proportion: Nux Vomica 200, Cinchona Officinalis 200, Carbo Vegetabilis 30 and Colchicum 30. The choice is coherent rather than scattergun. Nux vomica is the classical remedy for digestive upset following overeating or a sudden change of feed – precisely the situation on a farm when an animal breaks into the grain store. Carbo vegetabilis is the remedy associated with gas and distension, Cinchona with bloating and weakness after fluid loss, and Colchicum with abdominal pain and a refusal to eat. Globules are easy to dose: 20 pills into the bottle lid, then given over a roti or dissolved in water. GMP certified. 30 g.

Composition

Directions for Use

• Give 20 pills at a time, tipped into the lid of the bottle, then given over a roti or dissolved in water
• 20 pills, 2 to 3 times a day, or every hour until recovery in an acute episode, as guided by a physician
• Keep 30 minutes between two doses
• Keep a one-hour gap from any other medicine
• Do not touch the globules with wet hands; use the lid to measure

Precautions

• Colic, bloat and severe indigestion can be life-threatening in cattle. An animal that is straining, has a rapidly swelling flank, is grinding its teeth or has stopped ruminating needs a veterinarian immediately
• Keep the medicine away from sunlight and from strong-smelling articles – camphor, menthol and disinfectants are traditionally said to interfere with homoeopathic preparations
• Keep the lid tightly closed after use
• Use under medical supervision, as stated on the pack
