Civaderm Shampoo is a medicated scalp cleanser from Ajanta Pharma containing Ciclopirox Olamine 1% w/v and Zinc Pyrithione 1% w/v. It is prescribed for dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, where the Malassezia yeast overgrows on an oily scalp and triggers flakes, redness and itching. The rich lather cleanses the hair and delivers both antifungal agents directly to the scalp.

How It Works

Ciclopirox stops the scalp yeast from multiplying by binding the metal ions its enzymes need, and it reduces scalp inflammation. Zinc Pyrithione adds a second antifungal and antibacterial action and helps normalise the fast turnover of skin cells that produces visible flakes. Used together, they give quicker and longer-lasting control of dandruff than either agent alone.

How to Use

• Wet hair and scalp with water
• Massage a sufficient amount into the scalp and leave for 3 to 5 minutes
• Rinse thoroughly; use twice or thrice weekly or as advised
• Reduce to once weekly for maintenance once symptoms clear
