Candibiotic Plus Ear Drop is a prescription ear medicine made by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It combines beclometasone 0.025%, neomycin 0.5% and clotrimazole 1% w/v. Beclometasone is a corticosteroid that calms redness, swelling and itching in the ear canal. Neomycin is an antibiotic that kills many of the bacteria behind ear infections. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that stops the growth of yeasts and moulds. This three-way action makes it useful when an infection may be both bacterial and fungal. Doctors use it for outer ear infections and certain cases of ear discharge with inflammation. Easing the swelling helps relieve pain and the blocked feeling in the ear.
