It helps reduce leakage and fragility in capillaries and improves the flow of blood in them. Doctors use it in diabetic retinopathy, where small vessels of the eye are damaged by high blood sugar. It is also used for varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency, which cause heavy, swollen and aching legs. It may also be prescribed for other microcirculation disorders.
