Atorva Tablet contains atorvastatin, a statin that lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides while modestly raising HDL (good) cholesterol. It is prescribed to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people with high cholesterol or cardiovascular risk.

Statins block an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol. Taken daily along with a low-fat diet, exercise and weight control, atorvastatin helps keep blood lipid levels in a healthier range over the long term. Choose the 10 mg or 20 mg strength as prescribed.
