Aciloc 150 Tablet – Ranitidine Tablets IP 150 mg by Cadila

Aciloc 150 from Cadila Pharmaceuticals is Ranitidine Tablets IP 150 mg, film-coated. Ranitidine is an H2-receptor blocker, not a proton pump inhibitor, and the difference in mechanism gives it a different job. A PPI disables the acid pump itself and takes days to reach full effect; ranitidine blocks the histamine receptor that tells the pump to switch on, which produces less complete acid suppression but much faster relief – usually within an hour. That makes it useful for occasional or predictable heartburn, for night-time acid breakthrough on top of a PPI, and for people who need something that works the same evening. It also does not carry the long-term concerns tied to sustained profound acid suppression. It should still be taken on a doctor’s advice, and persistent symptoms need investigating rather than covering up. Pack of 30 tablets.
