Bravecto Chewable Tablet – Fluralaner 1400 mg, 3-Month Tick & Flea Protection for Dogs 40–56 kg

Bravecto from MSD Animal Health is a fluralaner 1400 mg chewable tablet for dogs weighing more than 40 kg and up to 56 kg. Its defining feature is duration: one chew gives up to three months of tick and flea protection, against the monthly re-dosing most spot-ons and collars need. Fluralaner starts killing parasites within hours of being swallowed, and because it keeps working for 12 weeks it breaks the flea life cycle rather than just clearing the adults currently on the dog. As printed on the pack, it also treats demodicosis, sarcoptic mange and Otodectes ear mite infestations.

Uses & Benefits

Directions for Use

• Give exactly as directed by your veterinarian, using the pack that matches your dog’s current weight.
• Give with food – this improves absorption of fluralaner.
• Make sure your dog swallows the full tablet; check it is not spat out.
• Weigh your dog before dosing rather than estimating, especially in the 40–56 kg band.
• Re-dose only at the interval your vet advises, usually every 12 weeks.

Precautions

• For animal use only – not for humans. Prescription required.
• Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurological disorders – discuss this with your vet first.
• Do not give to dogs with known hypersensitivity to fluralaner.
• Do not exceed the prescribed dose or use a pack meant for a heavier weight band.
• Safety in pregnant or lactating dogs has not been fully established.
• Mild, temporary diarrhoea, vomiting, drooling or reduced appetite can occur – tell your vet if these persist.

Storage

• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place.
• Keep the tablet in its original blister and carton until use.
• Keep out of the reach of children and other pets.
