Aniamor Pre & Probiotic Tablet is a chicken-flavoured supplement for dogs and cats combining nine live bacterial and yeast strains at over 6 × 10⁷ per tablet with prebiotic FOS 150 mg, colostrum 100 mg and zinc 1 mg. The pairing of pre- and probiotic in one tablet is the point. A probiotic supplies the organisms; a prebiotic is the food they live on. Fructo-oligosaccharides pass through the small intestine undigested and are fermented only in the colon by the beneficial species, so they feed the newcomers preferentially rather than the whole gut population. Without that fuel, a large share of any swallowed probiotic simply fails to establish. The blend spans four Lactobacillus species, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Enterococcus faecium, Streptococcus thermophilus and two yeasts – Aspergillus oryzae and Candida pintolopesii. Chicken-flavoured, so it can be fed straight or mixed into food. Bottle of 60 tablets.

Directions for Use

• For oral consumption only. Can be fed directly or mixed into the pet’s food
• Puppies and kittens under 10 kg – half a tablet a day
• Dogs and cats up to 10 kg – 1 tablet a day. Adult dogs and cats 10–20 kg – 2 tablets a day
• Senior dogs and cats 20–40 kg – 3 to 4 tablets a day
• Or as directed by your veterinarian. Give it at about the same time each day

Precautions

• This is a supplement, not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease
• Diarrhoea in a pet that lasts more than a day or two, or comes with blood, vomiting or lethargy, needs a vet – do not treat it with a probiotic alone
• The tablets contain lactose and colostrum, both dairy-derived. Tell your vet if your pet has a dairy intolerance
• If your pet is pregnant, nursing or on medication, ask your veterinarian before starting it
• Space it a couple of hours away from antibiotics, which kill the live cultures
• Do not exceed the dose for your pet’s weight

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place away from light
• Keep the cap tightly closed – live cultures are damaged by moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
