Neobiotic DFM Potent Synbiotic Powder – Saccharomyces boulardii for Dogs and Cats
Neobiotic DFM from Genext Pet is a synbiotic powder for dogs and cats built around an organism that behaves quite differently from an ordinary probiotic. Saccharomyces boulardii is a yeast, not a bacterium, and that single fact is why it appears in this formula. Antibiotics kill bacteria; they have no effect on yeast. So while a conventional Lactobacillus probiotic given alongside an antibiotic course is largely destroyed, S. boulardii passes through unharmed and can hold the gut together during exactly the period when it is most disrupted. It is the one probiotic that can genuinely be given at the same time as antibiotics rather than spaced hours apart. Around it sit Bacillus subtilis and B. licheniformis – spore-formers, also unusually robust – with MOS and beta-glucan as the prebiotic, and zinc, manganese and copper. 100 g pack.
Key Features

- MOS + beta-glucan 10 mg as the prebiotic, with fermented live yeast culture 20 mg
- Zinc 20 mg, manganese 20 mg and copper 1 mg

Precautions
- Animal feed supplement, not for medicinal use and not for human use

- Live yeast preparations are generally avoided in severely immunosuppressed animals and those with central venous catheters. Check with your veterinarian if your pet falls into either group
- Tell your veterinarian about every other medicine and supplement your pet is on
- The powder supplies zinc, manganese and copper; do not combine it with another mineral supplement without advice
- Do not exceed the recommended dose
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
