Zolmist Nasal Spray by Cipla contains zolmitriptan 5 mg per metered dose and is used to treat acute migraine attacks with or without aura. Migraine causes throbbing head pain often with nausea and sensitivity to light and sound. Because it is taken through the nose, Zolmist can be useful when nausea or vomiting makes it hard to swallow tablets, and it is absorbed quickly for faster relief. Each pack contains 7 metered doses.

How It Works

Zolmitriptan belongs to a group of medicines called triptans. It acts on serotonin receptors to narrow the widened blood vessels in the head and block the release of substances that cause pain and inflammation during a migraine. This relieves headache and associated symptoms such as nausea and light sensitivity. It treats a migraine attack once it starts and is not meant to prevent attacks.

How to Use

• Blow your nose gently before use
