Xtand XL is a combination tablet that contains sildenafil citrate and dapoxetine hydrochloride. Sildenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor that relaxes the blood vessels in the penis and improves blood flow during sexual arousal. This helps a man get and keep an erection. Dapoxetine is a short acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It helps delay ejaculation and gives a man more control. Together the two medicines are used when erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation occur at the same time. The tablet works only when there is sexual stimulation.
