Synopet Powder – Joint Care Supplement for Dogs and Cats by Intas
Synopet from Intas is a veterinary nutritional supplement for joint care, supplying glucosamine HCl 440.92 mg, chondroitin sulphate 352.74 mg and MSM 200 mg per 4 g scoop, with EPA and DHA, curcumin, bromelain, manganese, vitamin C and vitamin E. The manganese at 40 mg is the ingredient most people skip past, and it should not be. Glucosamine and chondroitin are the raw materials for glycosaminoglycans, the molecules that give cartilage its cushioning – but the enzymes that assemble them, the glycosyltransferases, are manganese-dependent. Supply the building blocks without the cofactor and the synthesis step is the bottleneck. That is why well-designed joint formulas include it, and why this one does. Curcumin and bromelain add an anti-inflammatory component, and the omega-3s support the same pathway from a different direction. 120 g pack with a measuring spoon.

Precautions
- Animal feed supplement. Not for human or medicinal use, as printed on the pack
- Limping, stiffness or reluctance to jump needs a diagnosis first. A cruciate tear, hip dysplasia or bone tumour will not respond to a joint supplement and delaying assessment makes them worse
- Glucosamine can affect blood sugar; ask your veterinarian before giving it to a diabetic animal
- Bromelain and omega-3s can affect clotting – tell your vet if your pet is on anti-inflammatories or is due for surgery
- Do not exceed the dose for your pet’s weight; manganese and fat-soluble vitamins accumulate
- Tell your veterinarian about every other medicine and supplement your pet is on
Storage
- Store in a cool and dry place, as printed on the pack
- Keep the pack closed and the measuring spoon dry
- Keep out of reach of children
