SKAARTRY-FORTE Gel from Nidus Pharma is a topical silicone scar gel containing Polysiloxane and Silicon Dioxide, sold in a 15 g tube as an advanced treatment for scars. Applied to skin that has fully healed, it dries into a thin, flexible, almost invisible silicone film. That film does two things at once: it holds moisture in the scar so the tissue stays hydrated, and it shields the area from friction and the environment. Well-hydrated scar tissue signals the skin to slow down collagen production – and it is excess collagen that makes a scar raised, hard and red. Over weeks of consistent use, scars typically become flatter, softer, paler and less itchy. Silicone gel is the approach dermatologists reach for first with raised and keloid scars, and it works on older scars as well as new ones, though fresh scars respond fastest.

Directions for Use

• Clean and dry the area completely before applying – the gel will not set on damp skin
• Apply a very thin layer over the scar; more is not better and simply takes longer to dry
• Let it air-dry for about 3–5 minutes until a smooth film forms
• Use twice daily, or as advised by your dermatologist; sunscreen or make-up can go over the dried film
• Give it time – visible change usually needs 8–12 weeks of uninterrupted daily use

Precautions

• For external use only – do not swallow
• Apply only to fully closed, healed skin; never on open wounds, stitches still in place, or broken skin
• Keep away from the eyes, the inside of the nose and the mouth
• Mild redness, itching or temporary dryness can occur; stop and consult a doctor if irritation persists
• Do not use on skin that is infected or actively inflamed
• Results vary with the age, size, depth and type of scar – older scars respond more slowly

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and excessive heat
• Close the cap tightly after every use – the gel cures on contact with air
• Keep out of the reach of children
