Scrabic 5% Cream (Permethrin 5% w/w) – 30 g
Scrabic 5% Cream from Leeford Healthcare Ltd is a dermatological scabicide supplied in a 30 g tube. It contains Permethrin 5% w/w, a synthetic pyrethroid that disrupts the nerve-cell membrane of the Sarcoptes scabiei mite, paralysing and killing both the adult mites and their eggs. The rich cream base clings to the skin for the full contact period, making it a convenient choice for treating scabies over the trunk, limbs and skin folds, and for calming the intense itching, burrows and rash that follow an infestation.

Directions for Use
- Take a bath or shower and dry the skin completely before applying the cream.
- Apply a thin layer of Scrabic Cream over the entire body from the neck down, including the skin folds, between the fingers and toes, under the nails, the navel and the soles.
- Leave the cream on for 8–14 hours (usually overnight) and then wash it off thoroughly in the morning.
- Reapply to any area that is washed – for example the hands – during the contact period.
- A second application after seven days may be advised by your doctor; do not repeat more often than directed.
Precautions
- For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth and mucous membranes; rinse with plenty of water if this happens.
- Mild burning, stinging, tingling, numbness or transient redness at the application site may occur and normally passes without treatment.
- Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or treating an infant.
- Do not apply to broken, oozing or severely inflamed skin unless your physician advises it.
- Itching may continue for up to four weeks after successful treatment as the skin reacts to dead mites – this alone is not a reason to reapply.
- Wash clothing, towels and bedding in hot water and treat all close contacts simultaneously to stop the infestation returning.
Storage
- Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Replace the cap tightly after each use to keep the cream from drying out.
- Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
