Nobeglar 100IU/ml Solution for Injection is a long acting insulin from Mankind Pharma. It contains insulin glargine at a strength of 100 IU per mL. Each vial holds 5 mL, which gives a total of 500 units. Insulin glargine is a basal insulin that is absorbed slowly and evenly. Its effect lasts for about 24 hours with no marked peak. This helps keep blood sugar steady through the day and night. It is used in adults and children with type 1 diabetes and in adults with type 2 diabetes. The vial is used with a standard 100 IU insulin syringe. It is usually injected once a day at the same time each day. The insulin is made by Biocon Biologics using rDNA technology and must be used only on a doctor’s prescription.
