Monoguard Sertaconazole and Zinc Pyrithione Shampoo from Micro Labs is a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo containing Sertaconazole 2% and Zinc Pyrithione 1%. It is designed for stubborn dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, where the Malassezia yeast causes flaking, oily scales, redness and itching. Sertaconazole is a newer-generation azole that offers an alternative when older anti-dandruff shampoos have stopped working well.

How It Works

Sertaconazole blocks ergosterol production in the fungal cell membrane and, thanks to its unique benzothiophene ring, also directly damages the membrane, giving it both fungistatic and fungicidal effects. It additionally has anti-inflammatory and anti-itch properties. Zinc Pyrithione adds antifungal and antibacterial action and helps control rapid scalp-cell shedding, so flakes are reduced.

How to Use

• Wet hair and scalp thoroughly
• Apply and massage into the scalp to form a lather; leave for 3 to 5 minutes
• Rinse well; use 2 to 3 times a week or as directed by your doctor
