Medozee 10 Tablet – Medroxyprogesterone Acetate 10 mg
Medozee 10 from Zeelab Pharmacy contains Medroxyprogesterone Acetate IP 10 mg in an uncoated tablet, made by Zee Laboratories at Paonta Sahib. Two things distinguish it. The first is price: at a fraction of what most brands of the same molecule cost, it is the budget option in a category where treatment is often repeated cycle after cycle. The second is the packaging – the tablets come in Alu/Alu blister rather than the usual clear PVC. Aluminium on both faces blocks moisture and light far more completely than plastic, which matters for a hormone stored in Indian humidity. The medicine itself supplies the progesterone a cycle without ovulation never produces, stabilising the womb lining so it sheds cleanly when the course ends. Strip of 10 tablets. Schedule H prescription medicine.

Uses & Benefits
- Treats absent or irregular periods by restoring a predictable cycle
- Controls abnormally heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding
- Used to bring on a withheld period (the progesterone challenge)
- Treats endometriosis-related pain as prescribed by a specialist
- Given alongside oestrogen in hormone therapy to protect the womb lining
- Taken as a short, defined course rather than continuously
Directions for Use
- Take it exactly on the days your doctor specifies. This medicine is prescribed as a course tied to your cycle – the dates matter as much as the dose
- Swallow the tablet whole with water, at the same time each day
- May be taken with or without food; with food helps if it upsets your stomach
- Expect bleeding a few days after finishing the course – that withdrawal bleed is usually the intended effect, not a problem
- Do not take extra tablets or extend the course on your own, and tell your doctor if a period does not follow
Precautions
- Rule out pregnancy before starting. Medroxyprogesterone must not be used in pregnancy – tell your doctor at once if you are or might be pregnant
- Do not use it if you have or have had breast cancer, unexplained vaginal bleeding, severe liver disease, or a history of blood clots in the legs or lungs
- Seek urgent care for leg swelling or pain, sudden breathlessness, chest pain, severe headache, or sudden vision or speech changes – these can signal a clot
- Breakthrough spotting, breast tenderness, bloating, mood changes, headache and weight change are the common effects
- Tell your doctor about migraine, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, or depression before starting
- Unexplained or persistent abnormal bleeding needs investigation, not just treatment. Your doctor should establish the cause before a hormone is used to control it
Storage
- Store in a cool, dark and dry place below 30°C, as printed on the pack
- Keep tablets in the Alu/Alu blister until use
- Keep out of reach of children
