Lamivir HBV is a highly specialized antiviral medication containing Lamivudine, specifically formulated for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection. Precautions

• Do not stop taking Lamivir HBV abruptly. Discontinuation can lead to a severe “flare-up” or exacerbation of hepatitis. Always consult your doctor before changing your regimen.
• Before starting HBV treatment, patients should be screened for HIV, as the 100mg dose is insufficient for HIV treatment and may lead to viral resistance.
• Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with impaired renal function.
• Consult your healthcare provider before use; the risks and benefits must be carefully evaluated during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to Use

• Take one Lamivir HBV tablet at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of medication in your blood.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose.
• Regular blood tests to monitor viral load and liver function (LFTs) are mandatory throughout the duration of the treatment.
• Continue taking the medication for the full duration prescribed, even if you feel healthy. The length of treatment is determined by your viral response and seroconversion status.
• Store at room temperature (below 30°C) in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
