Durajoint GM New is a three-drug combination tablet prescribed for osteoarthritis. Each film-coated tablet supplies Diacerein I.P. 50 mg, Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride USP 750 mg (equivalent to Glucosamine 446 mg), and Methylsulfonylmethane USP 250 mg. Diacerein dampens down the inflammatory signalling that erodes cartilage, glucosamine supplies a structural building block of cartilage, and MSM is added for joint comfort. Marketed by Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. and manufactured by Tirupati Medicare Ltd, Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. Supplied as a strip of 10 tablets.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine. Not to be sold by retail without the prescription of a Registered Medical Practitioner.
• Unsafe in liver disease – this combination should be avoided if you have liver problems.
• Not recommended in pregnancy (positive evidence of foetal risk) and may be unsafe while breastfeeding.
• Harmless discolouration of the urine is expected with diacerein. Tell your doctor if diarrhoea is severe or persistent, and use alcohol with caution.
