Delodryl Syrup is a dry cough syrup marketed by Leeford Healthcare Ltd. Each 5ml contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide 10mg, phenylephrine 5mg and cetirizine 5mg. Dextromethorphan acts on the cough centre in the brain to reduce the urge to cough. Phenylephrine narrows swollen blood vessels in the nose to ease a blocked nose. Cetirizine is an antihistamine that reduces sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes. The combination is used for dry, irritating cough with cold or allergy. It can help improve sleep that is disturbed by coughing. It is not meant for a cough with a lot of phlegm. It may cause drowsiness. It comes in a 60ml bottle.
