Calzem Capsule is a soft gelatin capsule that combines Calcitriol (0.25 mcg), Calcium Carbonate (500 mg, equivalent to 200 mg elemental calcium) and Zinc (as Zinc Sulfate 7.5 mg). It is used to treat nutritional deficiencies, especially low calcium and vitamin D. Calcitriol is the active form of vitamin D3 and helps the body absorb more calcium from the intestine, which supports bone strength and healthy bone growth. Zinc supports protein synthesis and the production of blood cells. It is marketed by Cipla Ltd and comes as a strip of 10 capsules.
