Brimolol Eye Drop

Brimolol Eye Drop is a prescription eye drop marketed by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Each ml contains brimonidine tartrate 0.15% w/v and timolol maleate 0.5% w/v. It is used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. High eye pressure can slowly damage the optic nerve, which may lead to loss of vision over time. Brimonidine reduces the amount of fluid the eye makes and also helps that fluid drain out. Timolol is a beta blocker that further cuts down fluid production inside the eye. Using the two medicines in one bottle can control pressure better than either alone and means fewer drops each day. It is often prescribed when a single eye drop has not brought the pressure down enough. Regular use as directed is important, since glaucoma usually has no early symptoms. How to Use

• Use only as prescribed by your eye doctor
• Wash your hands and tilt the head back
• Put 1 drop in the affected eye, usually twice a day about 12 hours apart
• Press the inner corner of the eye for 1 to 2 minutes after use
• Keep a 5 to 10 minute gap from other eye drops and remove contact lenses before use
