Acivir Cream – Aciclovir Cream IP 5% w/w by Cipla

Acivir Cream from Cipla is Aciclovir Cream IP 5% w/w, a topical antiviral for cold sores (herpes labialis) and genital herpes. Applied directly to the skin, it blocks the herpes simplex virus from multiplying at the site of the outbreak, which shortens healing time and eases the pain, itching and burning that come with an active outbreak. Being a topical treatment, it targets the visible lesion directly rather than treating the whole body, making it a straightforward first-line option for localised cold sores and genital herpes flare-ups. Comes as a 10 gm tube.
