Peroclin 2.5% Gel is a prescription acne gel from Ajanta Pharma that pairs two well-known actives, clindamycin phosphate 1% and benzoyl peroxide 2.5%, in one easy-to-apply formula. Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic that reduces the acne-causing bacteria on the skin, while benzoyl peroxide adds a mild drying effect that clears excess oil and dead skin and helps keep pores open. How to Use

• Wash the affected area with a mild cleanser and pat it dry.
• Apply a thin layer of gel over the acne-prone skin, avoiding the eyes and lips.
• Use once or twice a day, or exactly as your doctor advises.
• Wash your hands well after applying the gel.
• Continue for two to six weeks or for as long as prescribed.

Precautions

• For external use only; avoid eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes.
• Do not apply to broken, sunburnt or eczema-affected skin.
• Tell your doctor if you have a history of colitis or bowel disease.
• Dryness, peeling, redness or mild stinging can occur at first.
• Stop use and seek medical advice if severe diarrhoea or a serious allergic reaction develops.

Warnings

• Benzoyl peroxide can bleach hair, towels, pillowcases and coloured clothing.
• Skin may become more sensitive to sun, so use SPF 30 or higher sunscreen by day.
• Avoid tanning beds and long periods in strong sunlight.
• Avoid using other strong acne treatments at the same time unless advised by a doctor.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
