Xglar Refil 100IU/ml Injection is an insulin glargine cartridge pack from Eris Lifesciences. Each pack contains five cartridges, and each cartridge holds 3 mL of insulin. The strength is 100 IU per mL, so every cartridge gives 300 units. Insulin glargine is a long acting basal insulin that works evenly for about a full day. It helps keep fasting and between meal blood sugar in a healthy range. It is prescribed for people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who need insulin. The cartridges are made for use with the reusable Xglarpen injector only. Using refills with a reusable pen keeps the cost of daily insulin lower. The insulin is produced by Biocon Biologics using rDNA technology. A once used cartridge can be kept at room temperature below 30 degrees C for up to 28 days.
