Cidmus 100mg Tablet is a prescription heart medicine made by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. Each tablet contains Sacubitril 49mg and Valsartan 51mg and the strip holds 14 tablets. It is used to treat chronic heart failure in adults with a weakened heart muscle. Sacubitril blocks an enzyme called neprilysin so that natural substances which help the body remove extra salt and water stay active for longer. Valsartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker that relaxes the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. Together they reduce the workload on the heart and help it pump more efficiently. This combination has been shown to lower the risk of hospital stays and death linked to heart failure. The tablet is usually taken twice a day and the dose may be raised slowly by your doctor. Your doctor will check your blood pressure, kidney function and potassium level during treatment. Do not take it with ACE inhibitor medicines and do not use it during pregnancy.
