Noxa 1% Cream is a topical antibiotic made by Indoco Remedies. It contains Ozenoxacin 1% w/w, a modern antibiotic from the quinolone group. It works by stopping bacteria from copying their DNA, so they cannot grow. The main use is impetigo, a contagious skin infection with sores and crusts. It acts against Staphylococcus and Streptococcus bacteria. It stays mostly on the skin with very little absorbed into the body. This makes it suitable for short local treatment. A course usually lasts around 5 days. It is available in 10 gm and 5 gm tubes.
