Meftal-Spas Tablet
Meftal-Spas Tablet is a combination medicine manufactured and marketed by Blue Cross Laboratories Ltd, formulated with Dicyclomine Hydrochloride IP 10mg and Mefenamic Acid IP 250mg to provide relief from abdominal cramps and menstrual pain. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic that works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the stomach and intestines, easing sudden muscle contractions and spasms, while Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that blocks the chemical messengers responsible for pain and inflammation. Together, these two medicines complement each other to relieve cramping, bloating and discomfort linked to menstrual periods as well as spasms of the digestive tract. Meftal-Spas is commonly recommended for period-related pain, where it helps relax uterine muscles and reduce inflammation, as well as for general abdominal cramps arising from digestive muscle spasms. Each strip contains uncoated tablets tinted with Tartrazine colour, manufactured under GMP-certified conditions. Meftal-Spas Tablet is a prescription medicine and should always be taken with or after food to reduce the chance of stomach upset, using the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary as advised by a physician.
