Anoac-H from Healing Hands & Herbs, Pune, is a patented Ayurvedic proprietary medicine (Patent No. 436571) for anorectal conditions, in a bottle of 60 tablets. Unlike most piles formulas, which run to fifteen or twenty herbs, Anoac-H uses just four – at doses large enough to be meaningful. Dugdhika (Euphorbia hirta) at 350 mg leads it, traditionally used to stop bleeding and calm inflamed tissue. Lajjalu (Mimosa pudica) at 189 mg is the classical Ayurvedic astringent for bleeding piles and fissures. Nagkesar (Mesua ferrea) at 91 mg is used for haemorrhoidal bleeding, and Daruhaldi (Berberis aristata) at 70 mg adds antimicrobial and healing support. Directions for Use

• Label dose: one tablet in the morning and one at night, after food, with water

• Drink plenty of water and add fibre to your diet – no piles treatment works well while stools stay hard

Precautions

• Rectal bleeding must always be examined by a doctor. Piles are the commonest cause, but not the only one – do not assume a diagnosis and self-treat indefinitely
• Seek medical care for severe pain, a hard tender lump, heavy bleeding, or fever – a thrombosed pile or abscess needs proper treatment
• The pack notes that colour, taste and odour vary between batches because the ingredients are natural. This is expected and does not indicate a problem
• Tell your practitioner if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or giving it to a child, before starting
• Mention any regular prescription medicines – Berberis-containing herbs can affect how some drugs are cleared
