Nasivion Adult Nasal Spray from Procter & Gamble Health contains Oxymetazoline 0.5 mg/ml (0.05% w/v), a topical decongestant for a blocked nose. A stuffy nose is caused by swollen blood vessels in the nasal lining rather than mucus alone; oxymetazoline constricts those vessels so the swelling subsides and the airway reopens. It acts within about 25 seconds and keeps the nose clear for up to 12 hours, so two doses cover a full day. For adults and children over 12. 10 ml metered spray.

Directions for Use
- Blow your nose before use
- Spray 1–2 times into each nostril, up to twice daily
- Breathe in gently through the nose as you spray
- Leave at least 8 hours between doses
- Wipe the nozzle and replace the cap after use; do not share the bottle
Precautions
- Do not use for more than 10 consecutive days. Longer use causes rebound congestion, where the nose blocks worse as each dose wears off
- Not for children under 12 years – use a paediatric strength instead
- Use with caution in high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disorder or an enlarged prostate
- Do not use with MAOI antidepressants, or within two weeks of stopping them
- Mild nasal stinging, dryness or sneezing can occur and is usually brief
