Telkonol H 40mg/12.5mg Tablet – Telmisartan with Hydrochlorothiazide

Telkonol H from Knoll Pharmaceuticals Ltd combines Telmisartan 40 mg with Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg, a thiazide diuretic. Where telmisartan relaxes blood vessels, hydrochlorothiazide works by helping the kidneys pass out excess salt and water, reducing blood volume – a second, complementary route to lowering blood pressure. This combination is a standard next step when an ARB alone has not brought blood pressure to target. Strip of 10 tablets.

Directions for Use

Precautions

• Prescription medicine. Not to be sold by retail without the prescription of a Registered Medical Practitioner. Blood pressure medicines are not for as-needed use – missing doses or stopping suddenly can cause a rebound rise in blood pressure.
• Highly unsafe in pregnancy – can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Unsafe while breastfeeding.
• Unsafe in liver disease and should generally be avoided.
• The diuretic component can lower blood magnesium and other electrolytes – report unusual muscle cramps, weakness or fatigue to your doctor.
