Melabest Cream
Melabest Cream is a high-potency dermatological treatment used for the short-term management of melasma and inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It utilizes a clinically proven “triple therapy” approach to skin restoration. Hydroquinone works by suppressing the production of melanin, effectively lightening dark patches. Tretinoin, a derivative of Vitamin A, accelerates skin cell turnover to shed pigmented cells and smooth the skin’s surface. Mometasone Furoate, a mild-to-medium strength corticosteroid, is included to reduce inflammation, redness, and the potential irritation often caused by the other active ingredients. Together, these components work to clarify the complexion and provide an even skin tone.
Key Features
- Combines a bleaching agent, a retinoid, and a steroid for maximum efficacy against stubborn spots.
- Highly effective for treating the “mask of pregnancy” and other hormonally triggered pigmentation.
- The Tretinoin component helps refine skin texture and may reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores.
- Reduces the risk of “Retinoid Dermatitis” by calming the skin during the treatment process.
- One of the most widely prescribed formulations for the rapid correction of facial hyperpigmentation.
Key Ingredients
- Hydroquinone (2% w/w)
- Tretinoin (0.025% w/w)
- Mometasone Furoate (0.1% w/w)
Precautions
- Exposure to sunlight while wearing Melabest can cause severe skin irritation and reverse the lightening effects. Apply only at night.
- The cream makes your skin extremely photosensitive. Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning, regardless of the weather.
- Do not use for more than 8–12 weeks without a “rest period.” Long-term use of hydroquinone can lead to permanent skin darkening (ochronosis).
- Due to the Tretinoin content, this cream is strictly contraindicated for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you experience excessive peeling, stinging, or persistent redness, discontinue use for a few days and focus on hydration.
How to Use
- Cleanse: Wash your face with a mild, soap-free cleanser and pat dry. Allow 15–20 minutes for the skin to be completely dry.
- Apply: Apply a small, pea-sized amount to the affected dark patches or the entire face, avoiding the eyes, lips, and nostrils.
- Timing: Use once daily, strictly 30 minutes before bedtime.
- Frequency: If your skin is sensitive, start by applying it every other night for the first two weeks to build tolerance.
- Morning Routine: Thoroughly wash your face in the morning to remove any residue before heading outdoors.
Legal Disclaimer: Melabest is a prescription-strength medication. It is not a daily beauty or fairness cream. Results vary based on skin type and the depth of pigmentation. Consult a dermatologist before use.
