Bimat LS (Bimatoprost 0.01%) is a low-strength ophthalmic solution primarily used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. As a synthetic prostaglandin analog, it works by increasing the natural outflow of aqueous humor (the fluid inside the eye) through the uveoscleral pathway. - Pull down the lower lid, instill the drop, and close your eye. Press the inner corner of the eye (near the nose) for 1 minute to limit systemic absorption.
- Always wash your hands before and after applying the drops.
- Store the bottle at room temperature (15°C to 25°C) and keep it tightly closed when not in use.
