Skinshine Cream (Hydroquinone, Tretinoin & Mometasone Furoate)
Skinshine Cream is a potent dermatological treatment formulated to address moderate-to-severe melasma and various forms of hyperpigmentation. It utilizes a “Triple Action” approach to skin lightening: Hydroquinone acts as the primary depigmenting agent by stopping melanin production; Tretinoin enhances the process by increasing the rate of skin cell turnover and exfoliation; and Mometasone Furoate, a mild corticosteroid, works to reduce the inflammation, redness, and itching that can occur during the skin-lightening process. Together, these ingredients work to fade dark patches and even out the complexion, revealing brighter and clearer skin.
Key Features
- Combines a lightener, an exfoliator, and an anti-inflammatory agent for comprehensive pigment management.
- Designed to show visible improvement in dark spots and melasma within a few weeks of consistent use.
- The retinoid component (Tretinoin) helps smooth the skin’s surface and minimize fine lines.
- Mometasone ensures the skin remains calm while the more intensive active ingredients work on deeper pigment layers.
- Highly effective for “pregnancy mask” (melasma), age spots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Key Ingredients
- Hydroquinone (2.0% w/w)
- Tretinoin (0.025% w/w)
- Mometasone Furoate (0.1% w/w)
Precautions
- Hydroquinone can react negatively to UV light. Apply **only at night** and wash off thoroughly in the morning.
- You must apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) daily, as the treated skin will be extremely vulnerable to sun damage and “rebound” pigmentation.
- Do not use Skinshine for more than 2-3 months at a time. Prolonged use of Hydroquinone can lead to permanent blue-black darkening (Ochronosis).
- This product contains Tretinoin and should not be used by women who are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.
- Do not apply near the eyes, mouth, or on open wounds and irritated skin.
How to Use
- Wash your face with a mild, soap-free cleanser and pat dry. Wait until the skin is fully dry before application.
- Use a very small amount (pea-sized) and apply a thin film to the affected areas only, or as directed by your physician.
- Apply once daily, strictly at bedtime.
- If you have sensitive skin, start by applying it every other night to allow your skin to build tolerance.
- If you experience dryness or mild peeling, apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer after the cream has absorbed.
